Winter and Thank You’s

Jenny and I are going to wrap up our Anything Goes with a Winter card and some Thank You cards for the U.S. Military.

Jenny is getting into the winter holiday spirit with this lovely card:

Poinsetta Window Box

Card Recipe

The window is a framelit from Hearth and Home by Stampin Up.  The Poinsetta and evergreen branches are McGill punches.  The brick embossed background is a folder from Tim Holtz.  Put them all together and you have this pretty winter card.

We got together at work to make some thank you cards for a thank you to our military campaign.  Here are my thank you cards.

Card Recipe

Images are from Deep Red Rubber Stamp Company.  I used watercolor markers from (you know where I am going with this) Zig (Zig Clean Brush Markers) to color the stamps.  I wet the stamps and stamped on watercolor paper.  I layered red and blue cardstock behind the images.  My sentiments came from Paper Smooches.  These cards will go to members of our military to thank them for their service to their country and fellow Americans.

Wicked Good Card – Anything Goes

Diane made the most awesome looking card for this week’s anything goes theme.  She has done a Wicked great job.  🙂

Diane started with a jpeg image downloaded from the internet.  She used the Trace feature on the Silhouette Cameo to create this Wicked Cool card.  She then layered matching cardstock around the white cardstock inside.  The card is 5 x 7.

Piper’s Butterfly Card – Anything Goes

Today I get to share a card with you that was designed and created by a very young crafter – Piper.  I’m trying to convince her to join my design team.  🙂

Piper used one of my favorite elements on her card – butterflies.  She created this card to give her uncle on his birthday.

Butterfly Card Rotated

Piper’s Butterfly Card

For some reason the orientation of the picture is right in my post, but incorrect when I publish.  I will keep working to get that fixed.  Learning new stuff is hard!  LOL

Butterfly with Magnets

Butterfly Magnets

The butterflies have magnets on them so they can be removed from the card and put on a metal surface like a refrigerator.  Talk about the card that keeps on giving.

Here are the supplies that she used:

Standard black ball point pen, black Sharpie, Hampton Art green stamp pad, Black acid free hybrid palette inkpad, Stampabilities clear stamp block, printer paper used to make the flower silhouette on on the card, cardstock, cotton balls, assortment of stamps (brands unknown) and Pilot Green Flourescent spotlighter.

Anything But a Square Card – Creative Knockouts Challenge

This week’s challenge on Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog is ‘Anything But a Square’.

The sponsor for this week is Bugaboo Stamps.

Here is my design team contribution for this challenge.  I found an accordion card in the Silhouette store and came up with this card using Bugaboo image Garden Cat Mischief.

As always – I used the print and cut feature to pull in the Bugaboo image.  I colored it with my Zig Clean Brush markers and then added it to the accordion card.  I used a stamp from Paper Smooches.

Join in the challenge – it’s lots of fun and you could win some free digis.

There’s not a lot of room to work, but it’s more than last week.  🙂

I’m off to visit fellow desk hoppers participating in WOYWW.

Pulling from the Stash for Anything Goes

The theme this week is ‘anything goes’.  I’ve been feeling a bit uninspired this last week so I thought this might help me get my crafting mojo going.  I have a box in which I store my already colored images (my stash).  I’ve been pulling some things out of that box for this week’s theme.

Check out what I found.

In his boots

I colored this image several months ago, but hadn’t put it on a card base with a sentiment.  We are sending cards in support of our troops at work so I thought I would put it all together to donate to the cause.  The boot stamp and the rocks and grass stamp are from Stamps by Judith and Heather.  The sentiment is by Paper Smooches.  I colored the images with my Tombow markers.  I fussy cut the rocks and grass to give the card dimension.

This stamp is from Stampendous and I think it is adorable.  I stamped the image in Versafine Black Onyx.  I colored the image with my (you know what’s coming) Zig Clean Brush Markers.  I added some Wink of Stella White pen to the white berries although you can’t really see it in the picture.  I couldn’t decide what sentiment to use – so I didn’t (sign of missing mojo).  I cut an oval window out of some brown card stock using dies from Stampin Up.  The enamel dots are from my stash.

It’s Anything Goes This Week

This week’s theme is anything goes.  It’s gonna get all crazy up in here.  🙂

To start off the week I pulled out an image from Stamps by Judith and Heather.  I’d colored it a while back, but hadn’t put it on a card.  I have a task on my to do list to make sympathy cards for my stash – so I decided to check that one off.

Sympathy

I colored the image with Tombow markers.  I stamped the rocks and grass on the original card and then stamped it again.  I fussy cut the additional stamped rocks and grass and put it on top of the original stamped rocks and grass to give the card a 3D look.  I stitched around the outer edge of the card with my sewing machine.

More Thankful – Thank You Flower

This week’s blog theme is thankful.  Dee has been feeling extra crafty this week.  And I am thankful for that because my week has been crazy with being out of town last weekend.  Then on Monday I had 4 birthday cards to make for someone at work and 35 invitations to make for my daughter’s baby shower.  Tuesday night I worked until midnight.  Wednesday I had to finish up the invitations for my daughter’s shower.  So today – I am collapsing!  😉

Here is Dee’s latest creation:
