WOYWW 339 – Christmas Time is Here

It is Wednesday which means it’s time for WOYWW at Julia’s Stamping Ground.  I take a picture of my desk.  I share it on the world’s biggest desk hop and then I go snooping around fellow crafter’s desks.   Check it out if you haven’t already.

Here is my desk this week.  Lots of Christmas projects are going on.

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Thanksgiving is over and you know what is next.  Hanukkah!  But I’m not Jewish, so the next holiday I will be celebrating is Christmas.  And so the theme for this week is Christmas.  And for next week, too.  And the next week, too.  I just can’t get enough Christmas.

I made this card for a friend of mine who asked me to design a card for her.  I haven’t shared it with her yet – I hope she likes it.

Christmas Soul in Red

Christmas Soul

She LOVES shoes.  I will let you know if she likes this card.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the image.  The high heel show is image #46230 in the Silhouette Design Store.  I used a die from my Stampendous Snowman Die set to cut out the snow.  I used Art Institute Glue and Glitter to make the snow sparkle.  The background was inked with Tim Holtz Blueprint Distress Ink.  The snowflakes are from an old stamp set and were stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Stampin Up White Embossing Powder.  The sentiment was printed by me.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for some more Christmas projects.

Have a great day and be inspired.

Malachi 3:1  I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me.  Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple;  the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come, says the Lord Almighty.

Thanksgiving Wrap Up

It has been a week of Thanksgiving – the holiday and the theme. I have so much to be thankful for that I cannot possibly list everything. I am just thankful for all I have been blessed with. I hope we have all taken some time to count our blessings this week.

Here is my card for this season wrap up – Cause it’s all gonna be about Christmas now. 😉

Autumn Thankful

Thanks

I used a design from the Silhouette Design Store – Design Number 103966.  It is still fall so I thought the leaves were appropriate.  This would make a great thank you card for a guy or a gal.  I love those cards that are gender neutral.  I have such a hard time with masculine cards.  If you’re looking for a fun easy thank you card – check this one out.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  The month of December is going to be all about Christmas.  Tune in tomorrow for the first Christmas project.

Have a great day and enjoy the journey.

Blessings to You

This week’s blog theme is Thanksgiving.  Dare2BArtzy has a diverse collection of sentiment stamps.  They also have lovely images.  Diane created a beautiful card using images and sentiments from Dare2BArtzy in honor of the theme.

The leaves and background were cut out using the dies that coordinate with the Dare2BArtzy stamp set using patterned paper from her stash.  The sparkle on the leaves is from Wink of Stella.  A clean and simple card created quickly.  This would be great card for a party hostess or to include with a gift.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for the Thanksgiving wrap up.

Have a great day and enjoy the journey.

Grateful Thanksgiving

It is Black Friday.  I don’t know if Black Friday is recognized around the world or not, but here in the states it marks the beginning of the Christmas shopping season.  It is becoming a little bit of a let down because lots of stores are opening up on the Thursday evening before Black Friday.  I personally think it is wrong for stores to take away the Thanksgiving holiday from their retail employees so I won’t shop on Thanksgiving – except online.  😉

Dee has been busy in her craft room creating something for this week’s theme – Thanksgiving with a Grateful card:

Grateful Thanksgiving Pumpkin

Grateful for Thanksgiving

Grateful Card Recipe

Pumpkin image is a Recollections Sequin sticker (from stash) put on shimmer cardstock. The stitched rectangles are from My Favorite Things which can be found at Craft Inn if you’re in the Louisville area. Dee used a Toner Pen by Anna Griffin to foil the sides of card and sentiment. She carefully used the Pen on the stamp then stamped straight to card stock and ran through the AG Minc machine.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for some more Thanksgiving projects.

1 Chronicles 29:13  Now, our God, we give you thanks and praise your glorious name.

Happy Thanksgiving

It is Thanksgiving day here in the states.  I had 17 people at my house for dinner.  We had turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, corn pudding, pretzel salad, deviled eggs, green bean casserole and rolls.  And dessert.  Ugh, I’m stuffed.

On this Thanksgiving day, I just want to say I have so much to be thankful for.  And my prayers are with those in France and all over the world who are affected by the evil and violence in the world.  May you find peace even in these uneasy times.

Jenny made this beautiful card and it shares my sentiment for the day.

The leaf stamp is from Northwoods and was inked with Tombow markers and stamped.  The ‘Happy Thanksgiving’ sentiment is from Inkadinkado.

WOYWW 337 – Not a Desk Was in Sight

It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for WOYWW at Julia’s Stamping Ground.  This week I can’t even see the top of my desk.  I’m neck deep in Thanksgiving and Christmas projects.  It’s the most wonderful time of the year.

Messy for WOYWW

You’re asking where my desk is – aren’t you?  It’s under there somewhere – I wish I could find it.  I’m working in a 1 inch by 1 inch space right now.  My friend Diane (who has my dream job) said she does the Diane shove.  She just shoves it out of the way until stuff starts falling off the other side.  I think I will have to do the Diane shove.

I am off to see other craft desks.  Tune in tomorrow for a Thanksgiving project.  After you finish your dinner of course.

Have a great day and enjoy the journey.

Thanksgiving Turkey Box Card

This week’s theme is Thanksgiving.  And what is Thanksgiving without some turkey.  And dressing.  And mashed potatoes.  And green bean casserole.  And pie.  But I digress.  Since the turkey is the center of the Thanksgiving dinner I made the turkey the center of this cute box card.  Well Lori Whitlock did.  🙂

Once again Lori Whitlock has worked her box card magic.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the pieces and parts for this cute little box card.  I had to add googly eyes to the turkey – he was just begging for them.

The design in the Silhouette store is #69473 in case you’re shopping.  It was pretty easy to put together by looking at the picture.  I didn’t find any visual instructions for putting it together.

The sentiment stamp is from Inky Antics.  I just stamped it 3 times for effect.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for WOYWW – we’ll see if you can find my desk in the mess!

Have a great day and enjoy the journey.

Thanksgiving Autumn Leaves Falling

It is Thanksgiving week in the U.S. and it is also this week’s theme.

Here is a box card from Lori Whitlock.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the pieces used to make this gorgeous card.  This box card is design id 68372 in the Silhouette Store in case you’re shopping.
