Magical Fairies

This week’s theme will be Anything Goes again.  And add a twist of green if you want design team.  Dee bucked the time change and stayed up way late creating this adorable card with Magical Fairies.

I hate springing forward myself.  I don’t like losing an hour.  I waste enough time on my own – I don’t need someone taking it from me!  But, I will get over it when they give me my hour back next fall.  😉

Here is Dee’s card:

Fluttering By for Anything Goes

This week’s theme is anything goes.  It’s been fun having free reign and sharing some projects I’ve been working on.  I’ve been doing more Copic coloring recently and had some images that I needed to add to cards.  Here is one with a cute Inky Antics dog.

Fluttering By with Anything Goes

Spring is Coming

This cute image and sentiment come from Inky Antics.  I used my Copic Markers to color the flowers and the puppy.  Now I am looking at it and trying to remember what colors I used!  I seem to have the need to add a butterfly to everything lately.  My current favorite butterfly is a punch from EK Success.  It’s a small butterfly so it seems to work on the A2 card images.  The solid card stock is from my stash and I used the fun wonky stitch dies from My Favorite Things.  The pattern paper is from a Doodlebug 6 x 6 paper back.  The twine is also from my stash.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for some more anything goes.

Have a great day and be inspired.

Here is my project using die cuts and the Poppies image from TSB:

Die Cuts Punches

Poppies

I printed the image on some Neenah Solar White card stock multiple times.  I colored the poppies on one of the images using my Copic markers.  I used a circle die from Papertrey Ink to cut out the poppies that I colored.  I then popped them up on foam tape and placed them on top of the black and white image.  I used a sentiment from Paper Smooches and added some Stickles to give it a sparkle.  I am so loving these black and white images with a pop of color.

Join in the Creative Knockouts Challenge!

WOYWW 353 – I Can See Desktop

It is Wednesday and that means it’s time to take a picture of my desk and share it on Julia’s Site – The Stamping Ground for WOYWW 353.  But even more fun than that – I get to go snoop around other people’s desks.

This is my desk this week.  I cleaned it up on Saturday.  Then I started more projects on Sunday.  It is a vicious cycle.

Sherry Runs with Anything Goes

I texted the ‘design team’ that this week is anything goes and Sherry flooded the text with these awesome projects.  Fortunately Anything Goes is not dangerous like scissors so it’s okay that Sherry runs with Anything Goes.

Anything Goes with a Hint of Spring

The theme this week is Anything Goes with a hint of spring.  I have some images that I have colored, but needed to be made into a card.  Inky Antics has the cutest sets of dogs and one of those cuties is featured in this card.

Anything Goes with Twist of Spring

Oh Crap!

Oh Crap! Card Recipe:

I started out coloring the Inky Antics image with Chameleon Markers – 2 to be exact – the brown one and the pink one.  I cut out the wonky stitched circles using a die from My Favorite Things.  I used a banner die from my stash to cut out the banners.  The sentiment came from Inky Antics with the set the dog is in.  The butterfly is a punch.

And I actually put a sentiment inside the card:

The sentiment inside the card comes from the Inky Antics set, too.

St. Patrick’s Day Wrap Up

This week’s theme has been St. Patrick’s Day, but the week is over and we’re doing a St. Patrick’s Day Wrap Up.  Dee made this cute shaker card to end the week on a high note.

Spring Colors 4 Kids

Friends

I started with this adorable image from Crackerbox Palace and colored it with Copic Markers.  I know – Copics – I am very cyclical.  For a while all I used were my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, but now I am back to playing with my Copics.  I cut out the pink frame using a die from My Favorite Things and wrapped a little twine from Doodlebug around it.  The sentiment is from Inky Antics.  Once I colored the image I traced it in a Copic black marker for make it stand out.

I encourage you to play along with the Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge.  This is a great charity.  Send A Smile 4 Kids is a charitable blog created for the purpose of collecting donated handmade cards to be distributed to children while they are inpatient at Children’s Hospitals.  Who doesn’t want to make a child smile.  Make some cards and donate today.

A Little Sympathy

This week’s theme is St. Patrick’s Day, but I’ve been lazy this evening so I have something else to share.  Unfortunately, I’ve needed some sympathy cards lately and I thought I would share those today.

A Little Sympathy

Inverted Black and White

I have seen multiple cards where the center of an image is colored, but the outside of the image all around the image was left black and white.  I have that type of card on my list of things to try, but then I thought – what if I do it in reverse.  I started with one of my favorite Northwoods images and went to work.  I stamped the image on my 4 x 5 1/4 piece of card stock and then stamped it again.  I cut out the second stamped image with a die from my stash.  I colored the parts of the image that would show around the outside edge of the die cut piece.  I popped the die cut piece on foam tape.  I used Tombow markers to color the image.  I still want to do the opposite of this technique.

A Little Sympathy

Foil Sympathy

I printed a digi image from a Day for Daisies on black paper with my laser printer.  Then I used my Heidi Swapp Minc with gold foil to make these flowers pop.  I layered the image on gold sparkle paper from Michaels/Recollections.  I stamped my sentiment from Paper Smooches with Versamark Ink and used gold embossing powder from Fun Stampers Journey and heat set it.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for my Send a Smile 4 Kids Design Team post.

Have a great day and be inspired.
