Sending Best Wishes Your Way

It’s the 4th of July in the United States and today we celebrate our freedom.  241 years ago a group of men got together and signed a document that was to become the basis of our nation.  Thank goodness for those people who love their ideals more than they loved themselves.  Happy 4th of July and God Bless America.

Now I wasn’t thinking and my card is not red, white and blue, but instead it is has some pretty colors from Catherine Pooler.  I was inspired by Justine Hovey’s background video and purchased the whole set of  colors.

Sending Best Wishes Your Way Card Recipe

Starting with the wrong kind of card stock and My Favorite Things Color Drops stamps, I stamped the different sized color drops in different colors pointing in different directions.  The reason I say I used the wrong card stock is because my images are a little splotchy.  My friend Diane, from Craft Inn, stamped with the Catherine Pooler inks and they weren’t splotchy at all.  Thus, I used the wrong card stock.  Regardless, the images turned out well enough for my card.  Actually 2 cards because I stamped the 11.5 inch side of a piece of letter sized card stock.  Sending Best Wishes Your Way is also from My Favorite Things.  Matted in purple, the card is complete.  These stamps are so versatile and I will be using them over and over again.

I hope everyone in the U.S. has a lovely holiday.  And if you aren’t in the U.S., I hope you have a great day, too.  Tune in next time for another paper project.  Have a great day and enjoy the journey and some chocolate.
