Your Kindness Spreads Like Sunshine

Penny Black brings to mind flowers and cute critters.  Dee shared a card last week with a cute critter and I am sharing a card today with a Penny Black Sunflower – Sunglow.  This card was inspired by the work of Jill Foster who does the P B & J series for Penny Black on youtube.com.  I designed Your Kindness Spreads Like Sunshine for a class I am doing on 6/22/2017 at the Craft Inn.  If you’re interested you can sign up.

Your Kindness Spreads Like Sunshine Card Recipe

In the spirit of being inspired by Jill Foster, I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink reinkers to paint this sunflower.  Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber, Walnut Stain and Peeled Paint were used to paint the sunflower.  The background is done with a Salty Ocean reinker.  Painting using reinkers allows for vibrant colors and you dillute them using water.  A video is forthcoming.  Using a die from My Favorite Things I cut the card base down and placed it on a piece of pattern card stock from a 6 x 6 paper pad.  I liked the look of the music notes with the sunflower.  Also, I did some splattering which I think is perfect for this type of design.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for WOYWW.

Have a great day and enjoy the journey and some chocolate.
