I have been struggling with my crafty mojo this week. Yesterday’s card was an epic fail and I know I am not the only one who sometimes finds creating cards almost painful. Sometimes the creativity just flows freely, but sometimes it’s like sludge. The struggle is real this week. You can thank my Granddaughter for this card. I was going to give up, but then she came down to visit me in the craft room while her mother and grandfather moved some furniture. She started playing so I just kept plugging away.
Now the struggle isn’t coloring the Timeless Tulips image from Mama Elephant. That part is easy. The struggle comes when trying to use it to make a card. I have sketches and Pinterest and I still wasn’t coming up with anything. Not sure how this evolved, but I am just glad it did.
The Struggle is Real
Our Friendship is Timeless Card Recipe
This card is pretty simple – thank goodness because I don’t think I could handle anything too complex right now. Denise gave me this lovey stamp set for my birthday – Timeless Tulips from Mama Elephant. I colored the image with different coloring mediums. This one is colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markes on water color paper. Using a scallop circle die from Elizabeth Craft Design – I cut out the image. The green water color look card stock with gold embossing is from a paper pad that is in my stash. Mama Elephant provided this lovely sentiment along with the beautiful tulips. It is stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed in gold embossing powder. My Favorite Things came up with these cute window dies. There was a flap, but I cut that off so the sentiment is always visible. Green card stock was used to mat the card front.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today. Tune in tomorrow for WOYWW.
Have a great day and enjoy the journey and some chocolate.
