My Favorite Things came out with an absolutely awesome release in April. I’ve had the stamps for a while, but have had other projects I needed to finish before I could play. That all changed this weekend when I started playing with the butterflies. I actually got to color the dogs a little earlier, but now they’re on a card. You Give Me Butterflies is a CASE of a card at Rejoicing Crafts.
You Give Me Butterflies Card Recipe
Supplies Needed: White card stock, Tim Holtz Distress ink in Festive Berries, Fired Brick, Wilted Violet, Shaded Lilac, Tim Holtz Oxide Distress ink in Faded Blue Jeans and Broken China, My Favorite Things Beautiful Butterflies with dies, You Give Me Butterflies stamp set, white sequins and My Favorite Things Die-namics Blueprints 30.
I stamped the outline of the biggest butterfly in Festive Berries, Wilted Violet and Faded Blue Jeans on watercolor paper. Using a wet brush, I pulled the color from the stamped image. On the Festive Berries butterfly I added some Fired Brick and splatter in Festive Berries. I did the same with the Wilted Violet and added splatter in Shaded Lilac. The Faded Blue Jeans dried and I added the Broken China with a wet brush. The Die-namics frame was cut with white card stock and I cut out the flap. Butterflies were heat dried, cut out with the coordinating dies. You Give Me Butterflies was stamped in Versafine Black Onyx within the Die-namics frame. The Dynamics frame was popped up on foam tape and the butterflies were strategically placed on the card. To top it off I added white sequins.
Thank you for stopping by the blog today. Tune in tomorrow for WOYWW.
Have a great day and enjoy the journey and some chocolate.
Luke 7: 3 – 6 The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant. When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him, “This man deserves to have you do this, because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue.” So Jesus went with them.
