Distressed Stickaroo

This card is totally not my style – Distressed Stickaroo.  Well, it must be my style, but it’s not my normal style.  For some reason for the past couple days I’ve been in the mood to distress and now I’ve added ribbon!  What?

Penny Black came out with stickers a while back.  She might have stickers all the time, but I discovered them some time last year.  I bought 2 packs of stickers – HAD TO HAVE THEM!  And what did I do with them – NOTHING!  So I went searching on Pinterest for some ideas on what to do with these babies.

Distressed Stickaroo

This all started with a tulip Stickaroo sticker from Penny Black.  Elizabeth Craft Designs had the perfect size circle dies and circle scallops dies to frame the sticker.  I chose colors that are in the sticker.  For the background I used paper from Carta Bella that has a print on it and I splattered it with red ink.  Tim Holtz provided the tool that I used to distress the edges of the brown paper that I layered under the printed paper.  Add some red ribbon and foam tape and put it all together and there you go.  Enamel dots in the colors of the other flowers add some more cohesion.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for WOYWW.

Have a great day and enjoy the journey and some chocolate.

Luke 4:  1 – 2  Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.
